An excellent Dark doomy Death Metal ep, i first heard these tracks on a metal radio show years ago when this ep came out, then of course i went out and found the cd. Armoured Angel have been around for a long time forming in 1982, they have since split up But started as a thrash band and later on in their career they went towards a more Death metal sound. The band features Yuri Ward on Vocals and Guitars, He was also a member of Legendary Aussie black metal band Lord Kaos amoung other excellent aussie bands.

Brutal Grindcore out of Brasil. Coroners Inquest Suite is a blast fest of utter intensity, heavily distored guitars, shrieky blackmetal like vocals mixed in with the odd death metal vocals. The songs lengths vary and are a good length (not all under 30 seconds). The album has a very live feel to it, but dont think that means the quality is poor, the opposite it sounds brutally live, hearing this band on cd, i could picture them sounding just as brutal live, this is not Top 40 Polished emo Grind, this is choke ya friend in the mosh pit shit.

This cd suits fans of 90's Brutal death metal, it does not have the over/unatural production of many commercial Grind/Death bands thesedays, which suits my tastes well. So it might not suit all the emos and deathcore crowd, but there to busy wanting to kill there parents and grow waterfall haircuts to listen to choice underground brutality! (Good)

Grog has been around for a long time forming in 1991, it's seems release wise they've been a little quiet lately according to metal archives, but there is a split in the works due to come out in 2009.

This music is very eerie dark ambient black metal, slow and doomy would also be a good desciption of alot of the songs, but they dont get boring, the riffs and melodies although slow are dark and ambient and catchy enough to keep any black metal fan listening. This would be great music to listen to on a foggy moonlit night in an old cemetery.

GREED KILLING - ANOTHER LESSON IN RESISTANCE (2009) EP

Came across this Ep on the bands myspace for free download, their bio reads as follows:

Greed Killing was formed in June 2007 by Sascha Lubenow, Sven Kleis and Evangelos Gizis. The plan was to grow a band that's strongly different to the band members musical main projects "Ausgelebt", "Invoid", "Soil of Decay" and "To Die". All band members collected much live experience and played in various bands. The musical goal was to mix Death Metal, Punk and Hardcore with political lyrics. In September 2007 the band recorded their first E.P. called "Police state". Prior to the recording sessions for the first full-length Album "Disorder" in August 2008, Evangelos decided to leave the Band and was replaced with Kim Köhler. In May 2009 they release the Album "Disorder".

I came across this band when i got the split with Putrid whore, it's some fuckin crazy electrogrindingpornodeathinsanity, which in some of the lightning quick blasts parts reminds me of the Berzerker. It's loaded with porno moans and groans, and numerous well place samples and effects. This 2007 demo is available on their myspace page for free download, i've heard quite a few attemps at this style of music but they usually to be honest are quite boring an unimaginative, but this is definantly well put together and unlike anything else i've come across. A truely great release, from an amazing Australian Band who has long since split. I had the pleasure of seeing them in 2001, and was anything but disapointed. This album you could say is as tight as a ducks ass, impossible to fault, it's fuckin brutal, it's well written everything from riffage to drums and has fuckin killer vocals that at times remind me of the deranged singer, but Simon mixes up the vocal styles a little more. Abramelin had members from or who went on to bands like Blood duster, The Berzerker, disembowelment, destroyer 666, Sadisktik execution.

A great demo/promo! Although it's only 3 tracks, there 3 awesome tracks. The music chugs along with a brutal chunkyness in some parts, then bursts into a flurry of blasting brutality in others, lots of great drums/double kicks and plenty of blasts. The vocals are top notch, mostly DM, but there's still a good variety of shrieks and lower gutteral growls. Any one into your more traditional Cannibal corpse type of brutal death will enjoy this.

CANINUS / CATTLE DECAPITATION SPLIT EP ( 2005 )

For those of you who haven't as yet heard of Caninus there a grindband that utilises dogs for vocals, the music is what you would expect to hear in a good grind band, but as mentioned the vocals are dog barks/growls and grunts. It's surprisingly interesting and seeing as loads of vocals these days are inaudible/squeeling like pigs or loaded with tones of heavy darth vader vocal effects i dont see how a dog barking on a grind track as you can see from their myspace page wont attract loads of curious listeners. In relation to Cattle Decaitation what can i say, just as brutal and awesome as always!!!!

INEARTHED - IMPLOSION OF HEAVEN, DEMO ( 1994 )

Later to become known as the legendary Children of bodom, this is the first demo recorded under the name IneartheD. Dont expect to hear the bodom you are familiar with, hence i guess the different name. I would describe this demo as sounding like something metallica would have made between 1983 - 1986, very thrash influenced, but with a death metal edge. The vocals are nothing like current bodom, they are old school death metal vocals. There is like bodom, plenty of decent melodies, and solos as well as some black metalish guitar sections and vocals.

ANCIENT - DET GLEMTE RIKET 7" EP (1994)

This is the original 7" recording of ancients Det Glemte Riket ep, there was only 2000 copies on two colored vinyls released of this making it nearly impossible to get, but thankfully these tracks were released on a few later releases that you can still get. The recordings are apparantly not much different than the later release of these tracks, except a bit rawer. Any ancient fan will notice the different logo also.
